It's a bit late tonight, sorry. I flew to Wellington for the weekend to spend some time with my big girl. Wellington was gorgeous - sunny, calm, blue skies... And then we flew home. Needless to say, I'm running a little behind schedule tonight.

Reading
My research this week has been focussed on independent reading activities. One of the messages that came through was that reading is not something we save for books. Share some of this day to day reading with your kids. Swap roles at the supermarket - they can read the list and push the trolley while you run around finding everything. Ask them to check a road map to find best way to a friends house. Ask for their help to read the recipe for dinner...
