This week we are focussing on meaning. We have to make sure we understand what we are reading and be able to answer questions about our book. In writing it is important to make sure that other people get our meaning. If our ideas are not clear then no-one else can share our hard work. SOOO Mrs T set a challenge. On Monday she showed us how to make a hoop glider. We had to take notes as she worked and then go and write some instructions. Today we got to make our own hoop glider but we had to follow our own instructions. We had to self assess - thumbs up = my instructions were very clear and easy for anyone to follow. Thumbs to the side = my instructions were clear enough for me but my friends might have trouble understanding them. Thumbs down = I can't figure out what I wrote. We might be a little generous with our self assessments, but we got the message.
